Day 3 marked a grand conclusion to Polyversity Week at VIT-AP University, a vibrant celebration of innovation, creativity, and student excellence!
The final day was filled with powerful reflections, inspiring speeches, and the recognition of outstanding student efforts:
The day began with a Welcome Address and a Report on Polyversity Week by Dr. Prabha Selvaraj, who beautifully summarized the entire journey and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the success of the event. She highlighted the enthusiasm, teamwork, and innovative spirit witnessed throughout the three days.
One of the most exciting segments was the Pitching Session of Top Teams, where finalists presented their exceptional ideas. The judging panel from the IDS team—Vineet Kumar, Sushmitha Reddy, Supriya Biswas ↗️, Vikash R S, Akshai Reddy, Nikita Gugale, and A Binita—evaluated each team based on innovation, feasibility, impact, and presentation. Their meticulous judging and deliberation ensured that the most deserving teams were recognized.
Mr. Sunil Subrahmanyam Yadavalli, Head – Business Strategy at Information Data Systems (IDS Inc), joined as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring speech, he spoke about the vision and impact of Polyversity Week, and how deeply he was moved by the creativity and passion of the students. He mentioned that choosing the winners was a difficult task, as each team presented outstanding work. His words served as a great source of motivation and encouragement to everyone present.
Following his speech, a felicitation ceremony was held to honor the Chief Guest, expressing gratitude for his presence and valuable insights. In return, a felicitation to VIT-AP University by IDS was conducted, acknowledging the collaborative efforts and the strong partnership in nurturing student innovation.
Dr. Sudhakar Ilango, Dean, SCOPE, graced the Prize Distribution, where winners from PolySculpt, PolySurge, and PolySpark were announced and felicitated. Cash prizes were awarded to the top 3 winners of PolySculpt, while vouchers were presented to winners of PolySurge, which included activities like the Virtual Treasure Hunt and the Avatar Ramp Walk. The finalist teams had an opportunity to present their standout ideas to an enthusiastic audience, marking a perfect culmination to the event.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Dr. Dr. K Ganesh Reddy, appreciating all the efforts of faculty, student volunteers, participants, and collaborators that made Polyversity Week 2024 a resounding success.
